Confirmed: Premier Padel Final to Be Decided Today
Last week's Premier Padel tournament has been delayed and has carried over into this week due to major rain disruptions, which have caused issues with the schedule. The final was originally set to be played on Saturday but has now been postponed again – the hope is that it can be decided today.
The first Premier Padel tournament of the year is close to being completed, but the weather has been a big problem. Throughout the week, rain has forced organizers to use two courts up until the semifinals, and the schedule has been rescheduled multiple times.
According to the original plan, the semifinals were supposed to be played on Friday and the finals on Saturday. However, due to the rain, the semifinals were completed yesterday. The plan was to play the finals on the same day, but once again, the rain caused further delays.
It is now confirmed that the final will take place today at 5:00 PM local time (3:00 PM in Spain) – weather permitting. However, there will be only a men’s final, as Bea Gonzalez has been forced to withdraw from the tournament. Read more about it here.
Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia will play against Juan Lebron and Franco Stupa in the final.
