Several pairs play FIP tournaments during the Premier Padel break
This year's Premier Padel season has been extremely competitive, with many points at stake in each competition. It's now up to the couples to make the most of every opportunity to collect points and climb the important entry lists for upcoming tournaments. This has led to several new couples choosing to enter FIP tournaments during the Premier Padel break.
Last week, Padel Alto reported that several couples have signed up for FIP Gold in Lyon, a competition played at the same time as the cancelled Premier Padel competition in Sweden would have taken place. Now it is clear that FIP Platinum in Marbella also attracts the world's elite, as many couples want to chase points in a tournament where the winners get 250 points each - just below the Premier Padel level.
It has now been confirmed that several top pairings will take part in the competition, including the new pairs Javier Garrido/Lucas Bergamini, Alejandro Ruiz/Alejandro Arroyo, Valentino Libaak/Fernando Belasteguín and Juan Tello/Inigo Jofre.
The tournament will be played between 14 and 20 October, and registration closes on 9 October. It remains to be seen which more top players will turn up in the search for valuable points.
