The top 8 women's pairs in the Qatar Major - Triay ahead of Ortega

Padel Alto released yesterday the order of the top eight pre-ranked male pairs for the Premier Padel debut. As for the female category, we review the top 8, considering the Qatar Major, the tournament where the new pairs formed after Gemma Triay and Marta Ortega's split will debut.

Ari Sánchez and Paula Josemaría remain at the top, solidified as the number 1 pair. Their closest pursuers are Delfi Brea and Bea González, the number 2 pair. The advantage of holding the top spot in the ranking is that they could only meet in a hypothetical final.

The pairs completing the top 4 feature Marta and Gemma. In their new venture with the young Claudia Fernández, Triay will be ranked number 3. Just a few points behind, Ortega will be paired with Vero Virseda.

Tamara Icardo and Alejandra Salazar will be the 5th pair, while Sofi Araújo with Virginia Riera will be number 6.

The recent champions of the Ultimate Padel Tour in A Coruña, Jess Castelló and Claudia Jensen, occupy the 7th position on the ranking. Completing the top 8 are Victoria Iglesias and Bárbara Las Heras.

The notable names missing from this list are Lucía Sainz, Patricia Llaguno, and Aranzazu Osoro. Remember, being among the top 8 pairs allows you to avoid crossing paths with them until the quarter-finals.
