Champion of the Monaco Master leaves his sponsor: "Contractual breaches"

ANNONS

Young Argentine talent, Alex Chozas, has decided to part ways with his sponsor, Varlion, due to alleged contractual breaches by the brand.

Yet another player has chosen to leave the ranks of the well-known brand Varlion, and once again, the departure has not been smooth.

The 19-year-old Argentine prodigy and reigning champion of the A1 Padel Master in Monaco, Alex Chozas, has announced his separation from Varlion, which had been his sponsor since April of last year. The player accuses Varlion of "contractual breaches" that have hindered his competition in recent times.

"I am making this public to inform you that unfortunately I have to sever ties with Varlion due to contractual breaches. It becomes difficult to compete as a professional when agreements are not honored," the player announced.

Players in Conflict with Varlion

Chozas joins a list of players who have not ended their contracts with the brand in the best manner. Verónica Virseda left Varlion in December, accusing the brand of attempting to extend her contract "outside the law."

Another player who terminated his contract due to alleged breaches was Chozas' partner in the last A1 Master in Monaco, Leo Augsburger, who switched to NOX after a series of accusations of non-compliance between the parties.

Lisandro Borges defends his player

Lisandro Borges, entrepreneur and World Padel Tour promoter, who represents Chozas (and Augsburger), has also joined the controversy.

Borges accused the brand of not fulfilling its obligations while defending his player, whom he legally advises.

"It's their profession, their life. They need to receive what they are owed to cover their expenses. Chozas is not the first nor will he be the last to leave if they continue with this behavior," the entrepreneur said.

The brand has not yet made any official comments regarding the matter.
