In an interview with Mundo Deportivo, Brazilian legend Pablo Lima talked about World Padel Tour promoter Lisandro Borges.
"It saddens me that a person with that level of malice is associated with our sport," Lima said.

After participating in the World Padel League in Dubai, former world number one Pablo Lima granted an interview to the Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo, in which he referred, among other things, to tournament promoter Lisandro Borges of the World Padel Tour.

After the South American tour, led by Borges, much was said about the Argentine businessman due to his controversial statements regarding the absence of Galán and Lebron in the La Rioja tournament.

According to Pablo Lima, Borges' attitude at that time was something that saddened him and does not benefit the sport.

"It saddens me because what he does is not right. The players sent their medical certificates, and if he doubts, he should address WPT directly. So far, no one has violated anything or been penalized. It's something that saddens me because, for example, he doesn't attack me in interviews, but he does in private," commented the Brazilian.

"He tells me I'm corrupt"

Lima accuses Borges of attacking him through private messages, calling him corrupt among other things, which led the player to block the businessman to avoid receiving "unpleasant messages."

"He writes to me on WhatsApp, tells me I'm corrupt, that I no longer beat anyone, that I'm pathetic... I had to block him to stop receiving unpleasant messages. It saddens me that a person with that level of malice is associated with our sport."

"I'm not afraid"

In the interview, Lima also accuses the promoter of sending such messages to other players on the circuit, a fact that he has already communicated to the Players' Association.

"I don't care because at my age, I'm not afraid, but I am concerned that he might send these types of messages to younger players and mentally harm them. I don't like being around people like that, and it saddens me that he is in the circuit we play in," concluded the Brazilian legend.
