World number ones Gemma Triay and Alejandra Salazar became the first finalists of the year after beating Castello and Jensen at the  World Padel Tour Abu Dhabi Masters.

In the first World Padel Tour semifinal of the season, Gemma Triay and Alejandra Salazar faced what was so far the revelation couple of the tournament, Claudia Jensen and Jessica Castello.

The world number ones struck the first blow, breaking the Spanish/Argentine pairing's serve twice to take the lead. Castello and Jensen didn't give up, but although they managed to recover one of the lost serves, Triay and Salazar finally took the first set 6/4.

In the second leg, the difference in the ranking became evident. The talented youngsters found no answers to the game proposed by the number ones, who took the set in a convincing manner. The final result was 6/4 6/2 in favour of Salazar and Triay, who will play the first final of the year tomorrow.

"I want to congratulate Claudia and Jessica, they played a great tournament. They are a very young and they have done really well. We can't wait to play our first Masters final tomorrow, we are really happy," said Gemma Triay after the game.

In Sunday's final, the number one pairing will be looking for their first title of the year against the winners of the Sanchez/Josemaria and Icardo/Riera clash.
