CONFIRMED: Galan injured: ”I am forced to listen to my body”

After the news announced two days ago, comes the official confirmation from the player and the circuit: Lebron and Galan out of the WPT Mexico due to Galan's injury.

As Padel Alto reported on Tuesday, world number ones Alejandro Galan and Juan Lebron will not take part in the WPT Open that is taking place in Mexico. The reason for this is a knee ailment that Ale Galan is suffering from, so the doctors recommended him to rest.

The news was confirmed by the player himself through his social networks: 

"Due to a knee problem that I have been carrying for a few months and which has become more acute in recent weeks, I am forced to listen to my body and the doctors and I will have to stop. I will be back as soon as possible and I am looking forward to more," the player announced.

Having received the announcement once the competition has started, the World Padel Tour cannot make any changes to the main draw, so Gonzalo Rubio and Alex Arroyo - who were due to face the number ones on Thursday - qualify directly for the next round.

It is not yet known if the injury suffered by Ale Galan will prevent the couple from participating next week in the Mexico Major of the Premier Padel circuit.
