DETAILS: Galan and Lebron withdraw from WPT Mexico

ANNONS

Alejandro Galan and Juan Lebron withdraw from the World Padel Tour competition in Mexico, according to unconfirmed reports. This after Galan suffers an injury.

Padel Alto reported earlier today that Fernando Belasteguin and Arturo Coello will not play in the WPT tournament Mexico Open. Now comes the next bombshell.

Unconfirmed reports say that the world's number one, Alejandro Galan and Juan Lebron, withdraw after an injury to Galan. It is unclear what kind of injury the star sustained.

The Twitter account Contrapared was first with the news.

The playing schedule has been very tight, and just last Sunday, Galan/Lebron faced Belasteguin/Coello in the final of the Buenos Aires Masters. Last year, the Mexico Open was the subject of much discussion as the game was extremely slow.

It is the last Open tournament of the season on the World Padel Tour, as the next tournament is the Master Final in Barcelona. However, the Premier Padel Major will be played in Mexico after the Mexico Open. It is unclear if Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan will be able to play in that tournament.

Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan are still in the draw for the Mexico Open, while Fernando Belasteguin and Arturo Coello are not.
