The APT circuit changes its calendar again: Madrid and Torino cancelled

ANNONS

The APT circuit has changed its calendar again, and the Torino Open and Madrid Grand Master tournaments have been cancelled. Instead, a Master tournament will be held in Saltillo, Mexico.

This season's European tour seems to be over for the APT. The circuit has published the updated schedule on its official website, and the two tournaments to be played in Spain and Italy have been cancelled.

The Madrid Grand Masters, which was due to be played from 2-9 October, and the Torino Open, which was scheduled for 9-16 October, are no longer on the calendar. Instead, the circuit will hold a Masters tournament in Saltillo, Mexico, from 16-23 October.

These changes come on top of the sudden cancellation of the Bastad Tournament in Sweden at the beginning of August, which the tour attributed to contractual problems that arose during the management of the circuit's former board.

On this occasion, the APT has not stated why the tournaments have been cancelled and merely published the modified schedule.

Thus, the circuit will have six tournaments left to play this 2022, two in Argentina and four in Mexico:

  • La Rioja Open, Argentina (from 4 to 11 September)
  • Mar Del Plata Grand Master, Argentina (from 11 to 18 September)
  • Saltillo Master, Mexico (from 16 to 23 October)
  • Mexico Grand Master (from 23 to 30 October)
  • Torreon Open, Mexico (from 6 to 13 November)
  • Guadalajara Master Final, Mexico (from 5 to 11 December) will close the season.
