Golden Point or advantage in padel – how it works

A big discussion in padel for a long time has been the use of Golden Point.

For several years, matches were played with Golden Point on the World Padel Tour. But when Premier Padel took over the world tour, they chose to remove the rule and return to the classic system with advantage.

Golden Point means that at 40–40, the game is decided on the next point, and the returning team chooses who receives the serve.

Advantage is the classic format where a team must win two points in a row when the score is tied.
