The world number ones can secure the Premier Padel race this week

The world number ones can secure the Premier Padel race this week if they win the title in Mexico.

It is time for the last Premier Padel tournament before the Tour Finals, and the final spots for the season’s last tournament will now be decided.

But the race itself can also be decided this week.

Ahead of the Mexico Major, Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea lead the race by 1,750 points over Ariana Sánchez and Paula Josemaría. On the men’s side, Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia lead by 1,080 points over Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto.

If Triay and Brea or Coello and Tapia win this week’s tournament and secure 2,000 points, Josemaría and Sánchez, as well as Galán and Chingotto, can earn a maximum of 1,200 points this week.

That would mean the world number ones increase their lead by 800 points.

Since the maximum available at the Tour Finals is 1,500 points, Triay/Brea and Coello/Tapia would already have secured first place in the race.
