World number ones miss this week’s Premier Padel tournament

The last P2 tournament of the year takes place this week, and several top pairs are missing after late withdrawals.

It was already known that Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia were not registered, which means Ale Galan and Fede Chingotto enter as the top seeds.

On the women’s side, there have been two late withdrawals. Both Bea Gonzalez and Claudia Fernandez, as well as Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea, are out — according to Premier Padel, due to injuries to Fernandez and Brea.

That makes Paula Josemaria and Ariana Sanchez the favorites for the tournament.

The Premier Padel event will be played over the next few days, followed by the World Cup for pairs next week. All top teams are currently registered for the event, which awards the same number of points as a Major.
