Top players chase FIP points in Seville

This week the first FIP Platinum of the autumn is played in Seville. With 300 ranking points for the winners, many top players are taking part.

In a FIP Platinum event, the winners get 300 points, twice as many as in a FIP Gold. For comparison, champions in a Premier Padel P2 receive 600 points.

The first Platinum of the year was held in March in Mexico, where Alonso/Ustero and Aguirre/Alfonso won the titles.

Now three more tournaments are scheduled for the autumn, starting this week in Seville.

Because of the high points, several top pairs are competing.

In the women’s draw, Andrea Ustero/Sofia Araujo, Claudia Jensen/Alejandra Alonso De Villa, Veronica Virseda/Aranza Osoro, and Alejandra Salazar/Martina Calvo are all entered.

In the men’s draw, Lucas Bergamini/Paquito Navarro, Momo Gonzalez/Jon Sanz, and Martin Di Nenno/Agustin Torre are among the participants.

The first rounds are played during the week, with semifinals on Friday and finals on Saturday. The tournament is expected to be shown on FIP’s YouTube channel.
