Changes in the world ranking after the Paris Major

Over the past years, Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria have always been at the top of the rankings, but after the Paris Major they move down to third place.

For 840 days, Ariana Sanchez and Paula Josemaria were the number one seeds. But at the start of August that streak ended, and a new one began when Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea won the final in Spain.

Sanchez and Josemaria had led the rankings in every tournament since April 16, 2023, when they won the Granada Open against Gemma Triay and Alejandra Salazar. After losing the final, Triay returned to first place, now together with Delfi Brea.

Triay had already passed both Sanchez and Josemaria individually in the world ranking, but the win meant that Brea/Triay became the top seeds.

Now the former world number ones have also dropped from second place in the individual ranking, as Delfi Brea has moved ahead of them and taken it.
