Champions in Madrid - knocked out in Paris

Martin Di Nenno and Leo Augsburger had an incredible week in Madrid when they won their first title together. But in Paris, their journey ended right away.

The Paris Major – one of the highlights of the year – is currently being played at the iconic Roland Garros, where many ranking points are at stake.

Di Nenno and Augsburger impressed in Madrid, where they defeated Galan and Chingotto, followed up with a victory over Lebron and Stupa in the semifinals, and secured the title by winning against world number ones Coello and Tapia in the final.

But in Paris, they lost their opening match. Sanyo Gutiérrez and Gonzalo Alfonso turned the match around and defeated the Madrid champions 2–6, 6–3, 6–4.

Now Di Nenno and Augsburger will have a week off before Premier Padel continues in Germany for the first time.
