FIP Platinum returns – with three tournaments
FIP Platinum tournaments are the highest category on the FIP Tour and are played only a few times each year. After just one event in the spring, three more are scheduled for the fall.
Winners of a FIP Platinum tournament earn 300 points, double the amount awarded in a FIP Gold event. For comparison, champions at a Premier Padel P2 tournament receive 600 points.
This year’s first Platinum event was played in March in Mexico, where Alonso/Ustero and Aguirre/Alfonso claimed the titles.
Now, three more tournaments will follow this fall: in mid-September in Spain, in October in France, and in November once again in Mexico.
With the ranking race so tight, many players from the top 30 are expected to compete.
Registration for Sevilla is now open, with Veronica Virseda and Aranza Osoro already signed up.
