Ustero made history – won her first Premier Padel title

Andrea Ustero won her first title on the Premier Padel tour yesterday in France. Together with Sofia Araújo, the young talent triumphed in the women’s final after a three-set battle against Bea Caldera and Carmen Goenaga.

The final score was 7–5, 2–6, 6–2, and after reaching several finals before, Ustero finally secured her first title.

– This victory is the result of a lot of hard work said Ustero after the match.

She also became the youngest player ever to win on the Premier Padel tour. At 18 years, 1 month and 24 days, she broke Claudia Fernandez’s record.

– I dedicate all this to those who have been close to me since I started playing padel until I got here, but also to my family and Sofia, who is an example to me

For Araújo, it was her third Premier Padel title following her victories in Genova and NewGiza.

– I congratulate Andrea on her first title, but also Bea and Carmen on their first final. I hope this is the first of many tournaments we will win.

Premier Padel now takes a one-week break before the tour resumes next week in Malaga.
