In the FIP Silver tournament, a win earns them 80 points each – compared to Valladolid, where reaching the round of 16 only awards 45 points. To earn more points than in Italy, a team must reach at least the quarterfinals in the P2 tournament, which provides 90 points.

It remains to be seen whether more teams will follow their example and choose to chase points in FIP competitions.
