Sources: Premier Padel tournament to be moved from Barcelona

The Premier Padel tournament in Spain has already been postponed once – from April to the end of July. Now, the newspaper Sport reports that it will not take place in Barcelona as planned.

The Premier Padel tournament, which was originally scheduled to be played in Spain in April, was previously postponed to the end of July – with Barcelona as the new venue.

But now Sport reports that the competition will not take place there either, but instead looks set to be moved to Tarragona.

‘The tournament was finally scheduled for 27 July to 3 August, but Sport has learned that the venue will not be Barcelona,’ the newspaper writes.

In addition to the new date, there has also been uncertainty about where the tournament would be played. According to Sport, several different discussions have taken place, and there was a period when it was considered to be cancelled altogether.

‘Sport can reveal that the city most likely to be chosen is Tarragona,’ the newspaper writes.

Premier Padel has not yet commented on the information.
