Top players end boycott – register for P2 tournament

It’s now clear that the top male players will play in the P2 tournament in Belgium.

The earlier P2 tournament in Gijón had no top 100 players because many chose not to take part. The players’ union said they did not call for a boycott, but made it clear that players want to compete – just not at any cost. Read more here.

Two weeks later, a Premier Padel tournament was played in Mexico, and unlike the previous competition, Juan Lebrón and Franco Stupaczuk participated.

Since then, two P1 tournaments have been played with all top players in the draw, and next week a Major is coming up with all big names signed up.

Before the P2 tournament in Belgium, it was unclear how many would participate. But now, with just over a day left before the sign-up deadline, most of the top male players are confirmed.

It’s nearly the same top nine pairs in Belgium as in the upcoming Major in Qatar. The only change is that Martín Di Nenno is now playing with Juan Tello.
