World number ones eliminated in Santiago P1

In this year's first tournament, Pablo Cardona and Leo Augsburger knocked out Ale Galan and Fede Chingotto. Now they've done it again – but this time against the world number ones.

In the round of 16 at the Santiago P1, they defeated the top-ranked pair Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia with the score 7–6, 6–4.

Cardona and Augsburger will now face Juan Tello and Tino Libaak in the quarterfinal later this evening.

Coello and Tapia, meanwhile, will have a few weeks off before the first Major of the year takes place in mid-April.
