Top players not playing the next Premier Padel tournament
It’s not only on the men’s side that top players are missing from the Premier Padel tournament in Mexico. A top duo is also absent on the women’s side, as Bea Gonzalez and Claudia Fernandez have chosen not to play.
Next week, the year’s third Premier Padel tournament kicks off, and just like last week's tournament, almost the entire top 100 on the men’s side is absent—except for Juan Lebron and Franco Stupaczuk. Read more here.
On the women’s side, a top duo is also missing, as Bea Gonzalez and Claudia Fernandez have chosen not to play.
Their absence was confirmed when the registration deadline passed.
The players have not made a statement on their decision, but last year several top players skipped some P2 tournaments due to the long season, which could be the case this time as well.
