Bela named "Tournament Director" for Premier Padel competition

Premier Padel's first-ever tournament in the United States is fast approaching, and it has now been confirmed that Fernando Belasteguín will be the Tournament Director for the competition.

From March 17 to 23, Miami P1 will mark the debut of Premier Padel in the USA. It is now official that Bela will be the Tournament Director for the tournament.

– Very happy to accept the challenge of being the sporting director of Miami P1, the first Premier Padel tournament in U.S. history. A challenge I am taking on together with Premier Padel in a country so important for the development of our sport. 

– I will do my very best to make it a tournament that involves all the stakeholders in the U.S. market—from the clubs to the players. Hopefully, together we can help grow padel as a sport in the U.S.", Bela said in a press release.

Miami is also the place where Bela won his first title alongside Arturo Coello in 2022 - a victory that marked Coello's first WPT title. Now, both return to Miami – one as the Tournament Director, the other as the world No. 1.
