Talents close to knocking out the world number twos

It was an exciting match yesterday between Andrea Ustero and Alejandra Alonso against Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea. After a close and dramatic battle, Triay and Brea secured their spot in the quarterfinals.

The first Premier Padel tournament of the year in Riyadh gives an early look at how the pairs are performing, and the round of 16 match between Ustero/Alonso and Triay/Brea was an exciting match.

Young talents Andrea Ustero and Alejandra Alonso, seeded ninth, faced a tough challenge against the newly formed duo of Gemma Triay and Delfi Brea.

The match went to three sets, with Triay and Brea taking the first 6-4. Ustero and Alonso responded by winning the second set 7-5, but in the final set, Triay and Brea broke early and held their lead all the way to victory.

The final score was 6-4, 5-7, 6-4.

Today, Triay and Brea face Lucia Sainz and Patricia Llaguno in the quarterfinals.
