New Ranking System — Here's How It Works
The new FIP season is already underway, and only weeks remain until the start of Premier Padel. Ahead of the season, a new ranking system has been launched, which is presented in this article.
Premier Padel tournaments are divided into three categories: Majors, P1 tournaments, and P2 tournaments. Additionally, the entire season concludes with the Tour Finals in December.
- P2: The third-highest ranked Premier Padel tournament in terms of ranking points and prize money.
- P1: The second-highest ranked Premier Padel tournament.
- Major: The highest-ranked Premier Padel tournament.
FIP tournaments are divided into four categories: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze. The official FIP tour will also conclude with a final featuring the top players.
1. Premier Padel Major
- Winners: 2000 points
- Finalists: 1200 points
2. Premier Padel P1
- Winners: 1000 points
- Finalists: 600 points
3. Premier Padel P2
- Winners: 600 points
- Finalists: 360 points
4. Premier Padel Finals
- Winners: 1500 points
5. FIP Platinum
- Winners: 300 points
- Finalists: 180 points
6. FIP Gold
- Winners: 150 points
- Finalists: 90 points
7. FIP Silver
- Winners: 80 points
- Finalists: 45 points
8. FIP Bronze
- Winners: 40 points
- Finalists: 22 points
9. FIP Finals
- Winners: 225 points
A World Championship for pairs will also take place in the fall, with points identical to those in a Major.
