Coello and Tapia’s Streak Ended – But a New Record Was Set
Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia have had an impressive season, with 14 titles and a record-long winning streak. But just as they broke the record and had only one match left, their streak came to an end.
Coello and Tapia have had an incredible season, with 14 titles and win after win. From the summer to winter of 2024, they won 47 matches in a row.
This can be compared to the spring of 2023, when Tapia and Coello started the season strong and won 45 consecutive matches before Di Nenno and Stupa ended their streak.
This year, Coello and Tapia had the chance to break their own record in Barcelona. They made it to the final and broke the record, but there they were surprised and lost to Nieto and Sanz.
So, their streak ended after 47 consecutive wins. Next year, they will start over to try to improve the record. They also set a new record with 15 straight finals, which they can build on in 2025.
