ANNONS

Carolina Navarro Björk has had an incredible career, having been world number one for nine years. Now, the 48-year-old player announces that she will continue on the World Tour for one more year, but that 2025 will be her final year as a professional player.

Carolina Navarro Björk is considered one of the greatest players of all time in padel. With nine years as world number one, she has achieved successes that few others have managed. In recent years, she has also been part of the Swedish national team.

In a message on her social media, Navarro Björk shared that 2025 will be her final year as a professional player.

”I have something important to share with you: 2025 will be my final year as a professional player. It all began in Málaga, playing local tournaments with my sisters. Now, I can proudly say I’ve been fortunate to spend 31 years of my life competing and fully enjoying the sport that has given me everything. I’ve had the privilege of experiencing padel from its early days—with wooden rackets and wall courts—to what it has become today, playing in iconic stadiums like Roland Garros.”

”Thanks to padel, I’ve accomplished things I could never have imagined: world championships and founding my adapted padel school, Palas Para Todos.”

The 2024 season will start in February and includes 24 tournaments in 16 different countries, with the European Championship as the highlight during the fall. This will likely be Carolina Navarro Björk's last championship, following a long series of successes in her career.
