Galán wins over Lebron in the semifinal – back in the final
Alejandro Galán and Federico Chingotto are through to the final of the Milano Premier Padel P1 after a victory against Martín Di Nenno and Juan Lebrón. The match ended 6-1, 6-4, breaking the pair's streak of two competitions without having reached the final match.
This was the third meeting this year between Galán and Lebrón since their three-year partnership ended. Together they won 33 titles, making their matches highly awaited. Once again, it was Galán and Chingotto who were the winners, winning 6-1, 6-4.
The win puts Galán and Chingotto back in a final after missing out in their last two tournaments. In the final, they will face Arturo Coello and Agustín Tapia. The world number ones have won 44 matches in a row this season. If they win in Milano and start well in Barcelona in two weeks, they can set a new record of their own with 47 straight wins.
On the women's side, it looks like a close final between Gemma Triay and Claudia Fernandez against Bea Gonzalez and Delfi Brea. The match starts at 3 PM and will be followed by the men's final.
