Premier Padel adventure continues for Bela - victory in first match
Fernando Belasteguín started his last professional competition with a win. The Milano Premier Padel P1 marks the end of padel's most successful career, but today's victory means Bela's journey continues for at least one more match.
Together with Tino Libaak, Bela stepped onto the centre court in Milan to face the Deus brothers. The match, which could have been his last as a professional player, ended with the numbers: 6-4, 6-4 to Bela and Libaak.
Bela, who has won an impressive 230 titles in 30 years on the world tour, is padel's most successful player of all time. His success has left its mark on the sport and inspired generations of players.
Tomorrow, Bela and Libaak will face a new challenge in the round of 16 against Lucas Bergamini and Javi Garrido. The match will be played on the centre court and is scheduled to start at around 19:30.
