Sources: She is Delfi Brea's first choice
Delfi Brea and Bea González, one of the most successful pairs in padel in recent years, are reportedly not continuing together next season. According to the Spanish newspaper Marca, Delfi Brea is interested in forming a partnership with Gemma Triay, although nothing has been confirmed yet.
Brea and González have achieved significant success on both Premier Padel and the World Padel Tour. In 2023, they secured eight titles together and have continued their success in 2024 with five Premier Padel titles.
However, this season has been complicated by the break González has had to take due to injury.
According to Marca, the players are expected to part ways ahead of next season. The newspaper reports that the decision was made by Brea, who is reportedly looking for new challenges after nearly two years as González’s partner.
Marca writes:
“Delfi Brea’s idea is to team up with Gemma Triay, but as far as this newspaper has been able to confirm, nothing is finalized yet.”
Gemma Triay has been playing alongside Claudia Fernandez this year, with the pair enjoying a strong season, winning five titles, including a Major in Mexico last week.
If Brea and Triay form a partnership, it could open the possibility for González and Fernandez to team up for next season.
