Coello and Tapia extend winning streak - closing in on their record
The men's final of the Premier Padel Major in Mexico was decided overnight, with Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia securing another title. After a strong performance, they defeated Franco Stupa and Mike Yanguas in a tough three-set match with the numbers 4-6, 6-1, 6-2.
Arturo Coello and Agustin Tapia show time and again why they are world number ones in padel. With their victory in the Mexico Major, they have now won 40 straight matches and are just six games away from breaking their previous record of 46 straight wins.
Since July, Coello and Tapia have been absolutely dominant, collecting titles in Premier Padel. The final against Stupa and Yanguas was the first time since September that the duo dropped a set in a final, but that didn't stop the victory run.
With one P1 event and the Tour Final left on the calendar, the world number ones still have the chance to not only reach, but also improve their own record before the year is over.
