Galan and Chingotto set new record - but it could be broken this year

ANNONS

Alejandro Galan and Federico Chingotto have impressed throughout the year, reaching final after final. With 14 straight finals, they managed to set a new record, but the streak came to an end last Saturday.

Since the start of their collaboration, Alejandro Galan and Federico Chingotto have enjoyed a successful run, reaching the final 14 times in a row. However, the record was broken when Mike Yanguas and Franco Stupa defeated them in the semi-finals on Saturday 6-3, 6-1.

The new record of 14 straight finals takes over the top spot from Fernando Belasteguín and Pablo Lima, who previously held the record of 12 straight finals during a period with fewer events on the calendar. Now it is Galan and Chingotto who top the list instead.

Tapia and Coello, who are currently dominating on the court, are already on 12 straight finals and have three tournaments left on this year's calendar. This gives them the chance to break the record before the end of the season.

Since July, Tapia and Coello have been in a class of their own in Premier Padel. With Sunday's victory, they extended their winning streak to 35 matches and are now just 11 wins away from breaking their previous record of 46 straight wins - something they can also achieve before the end of the year.
