ANNONS

This week's FIP Platinum in Mexico will be important for several players' chances of reaching the Tour Final in December. Here's what's at stake on both the men's and women's side.

Between December 19 and 22, this year's Tour Final will take place, with the top 16 players on both the men's and women's side. Qualification is based on the 22 best results from the year, and the battle for the final spots is intense. With the Premier Padel Tour on break this week, many players have chosen to travel to Mexico to take part in the FIP Platinum competition, where crucial points are at stake.

FIP Platinum:

Winners: 250 points
Finalists: 150 points

Men's side

Lucas Bergamini is currently outside the Tour Final with 40 points. He is playing in Mexico with Javi Garrido, and the pair are seeded first in the competition.

Alex Ruiz and Alex Arroyo are seeded second. Ruiz is 128 points from the limit, while Arroyo has a distance of 173 points.

Sanyo Gutiérrez, competing alongside Jose Diestro, is just on the right side of the qualification limit but only by 40 points.

Pablo Cardona is also competing, paired with Javi Garcia. Cardona has a 157-point lead to the limit.

Women's side

Alejandra Alonso is competing alongside Lucia Sainz, and the pair are seeded first in the competition. Alonso is 100 points off the qualifying limit and chasing a ticket to the Tour Final.

Virginia Riera is participating together with Julieta Bidahorria. Riera has 185 points up to the limit to reach the competition.

Aranza Osoro, who is 100 points on the right side, has chosen not to participate in the competition, which could prove to be a questionable decision. Tamara Icardo, who is 135 points off the qualification limit, is also abstaining from playing in Mexico.
