Galan on playing with Lebron in the World Cup: “I play for the team”
The World Padel Championship is approaching quickly, and with it, speculation around the tournament is growing. For the Spanish team, the main focus is on how they will line up and whether a reunion between Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan might become a reality. Now, Galan himself has spoken about the situation.
From October 28 to November 2, all attention will shift to national team play instead of the world tour. Several players on the Spanish team, who are usually rivals on the court, will now join forces to try to bring the title back to Spain.
Since Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan parted ways earlier this year, the question of whether they might play together again during the championship has been a major topic of discussion.
In an interview with the Spanish newspaper Relevo, Galan gave a clear answer:
— Right now, Lebron is playing on the backhand side. But I've told the coach that I'll play wherever I'm needed, on the bench cheering, on the forehand side, which isn't my usual position, or on the backhand side. Whatever it takes for the team to win.
