After retiring – legend becomes national team coach
The Padel World Championships in Qatar are now just days away. One of the most remarkable news is that former world number one Pablo Lima, with over 50 titles to his name, is now taking over as coach of Brazil.
Pablo Lima retired from professional padel last year after 23 seasons at the top level. His final match on the World Padel Tour was alongside Agustin Silingo, against world stars Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan.
Now, Lima steps into the role of head coach for Brazil, aiming to improve on the team’s fifth-place finish at the last World Championship. The Brazilian men's squad is as follows:
Brazil Men's Team:
Lucas Campagnolo
Lucas Bergamini
André Freitas
Chico Gomes
Joao Pedro JP Flores
Julio Julianoti
Lucas Cunha
Matheus Simonato
The Padel World Championship will take place from October 28 to November 2 in Qatar.
