Confirmed: Sanyo Gutiérrez ends partnership after one tournament
Sanyo Gutiérrez and Victor Ruiz have only played one tournament together, but it is now confirmed that they will part ways. The reports, which Padel Alto shared a few days ago, have now been made official.
According to the "Padel y Cervecitas" account on X (formerly Twitter), Sanyo will no longer continue with Víctor Ruiz. Instead, Sanyo will move to the backhand side and partner with the left-handed José Antonio García Diestro. This has now been confirmed as Sanyo has registered with his new partner for the Premier Padel tournament in Dubai.
Despite the change, Sanyo and Victor Ruiz will still play the upcoming tournament in Egypt together, as they had already registered as a pair.
Sanyo started the season with Paquito Navarro and later played with Maxi Sánchez, Álex Arroyo, and Víctor Ruiz. It’s been a challenging year for the Argentine, who has struggled to find a long-term, stable partnership.
It remains unclear who Victor Ruiz will partner with after the tournament in Egypt.
