Tello and Bela played against each other – decided in double tiebreak
Just a few weeks ago, Fernando Belasteguín and Juan Tello parted ways after playing together for most of the year. However, in only their second tournament since the split, they faced each other in Marbella – and it turned into a thrilling match that was decided in double tiebreaks.
This week’s FIP tournament in Marbella has drawn a strong field, as it is a Platinum event with 250 points awarded to the winners, making it particularly important for the players.
On center court, Juan Tello, playing alongside Inigo Jofre, faced Fernando Belasteguín, who teamed up with Tino Libaak. The match was intense and evenly contested. But in the end, it was Tello and Jofre who came out on top, winning 7-6, 7-6, after both sets were decided by tiebreaks.
With this victory, Tello and Jofre have advanced to the next round, while Belasteguín and Libaak were eliminated from the tournament in Marbella.
