Chingotto after third final loss: "We need to analyze our mistakes"
Federico Chingotto reached the final in Paris for the third consecutive year, but once again found himself on the losing end after a strong performance from the world number ones. Now, he reflects on the loss through his social media.
- We need to analyze our mistakes and put on the training suit to turn this around, he wrote on Instagram.
In 2022, Chingotto, alongside Juan Tello, lost the Paris final to the pair Lebron/Galan after a three-set match 3/6, 6/4, 4/6. The following year, partnering with Paquito Navarro, he was again defeated, this time by Coello/Tapia: 7/6, 6/1.
This year, he had another opportunity to break his finals curse, now with Alejandro Galan. On paper, it seemed like his best chance so far, but the world number ones, Coello and Tapia, dominated the match, winning convincingly 6-2, 6-1.
After the match, Chingotto shared his thoughts on Instagram:
"It was tough to lose in the final, but we were up against the world number ones and they showed it throughout. They were better than us. We need to analyze our mistakes and put on the training suit to turn this moment around, and I believe we will, starting tomorrow," he wrote on Instagram on Sunday.
