The talent's success - climbs 80 places in the world rankings

Andres Fernandez Lancha was the big headline after last week's competition in Madrid. The 19-year-old player, along with Jose Antonio Diestro, made it all the way to the quarter-finals of the Premier Padel competition, resulting in a big jump in the world rankings.

Jose Antonio Diestro, who had 1077 FIP ranking points, played alongside the talented Andres Fernandez Lancha, who before the competition only had 76 points and was ranked 224 in the world.

The pair put in an impressive performance and made it to the quarter-finals, where they eventually fell to world number one seeds Coello and Tapia 4-6, 4-6.

Thanks to this result, Fernandez Lancha climbed a total of 80 places in the rankings and is now ranked 144 in the world.
