Tension between Lebrón and Galán just days before the Madrid P1

Alejandro Galán and Juan Lebrón participated in a Red Bull event just days before the start of the second half of the season. The former world number ones exchanged statements that sparked controversy in the padel world.

Lebrón spoke about his years with Galán: "He says I’ve been a burden to him throughout his entire career. We were number one together for three years, but it seems he didn’t enjoy it." He also added, "Living just 300 meters away and not having the courage to tell me what he thinks to my face really hurts."

Galán responded with a hint of irony, mentioning that he’s not getting any replies to the messages he sends to coordinate training sessions: "I asked him if he still had the same number, because I’ve been texting him to arrange matches and meet up."

In a separate interview with Relevo, Lebrón also spoke about his second stint with Paquito Navarro: "Maybe we were both under a lot of pressure from that 2019 period when we reached number one. There are many things I appreciate about Paco; I can only say positive things. It’s true there have been some heated moments on the bench, but everything is fine afterward. Off the court, the relationship is incredible."
