Here’s how Di Nenno and Chingotto debuted in the PPL
The Pro Padel League kicked off its third event of the season this Monday. The ten franchises will battle throughout the week in San Diego, aiming to accumulate points for the PPL Finals. Martín Di Nenno and Federico Chingotto made their debuts for the Goats and the Atlantics, respectively—here’s how they fared.
Martín Di Nenno: Debut and Victory
The Argentine player recently won his first title of 2024 alongside Juan Lebrón at the Finland P2 Premier Padel and now aims to claim the crown in San Diego in this team competition.
The Flowrida Goats, Daddy Yankee's team, started off on the right foot by defeating the 2023 champions, Las Vegas Smash.
Di Nenno teamed up with Pablo Lijó, and they secured a win in their match against Pablo Cardona and Ignacio Vilariño, with a double 6/4. Di Nenno was seen using an all-black racket, which could be his new weapon for the rest of the year.
Chingotto Keeps Smiling
Federico Chingotto is one of the standout players this year, having won five Premier Padel trophies with Alejandro Galán.
Chingotto also debuted with a victory in the PPL, alongside his partner Ramiro Moyano. They delivered a convincing 6/4 6/1 win against Sanyo Gutiérrez and Teo Zapata of the Cancun Waves.
However, it was of little use, as the series ultimately went to the only Mexican franchise.
