Pair splits after two years: "Difficult to write this"

The partnership between Lucas Bergamini and Victor Ruiz has come to an end. After more than two years of both successes and challenges, the duo is going their separate ways.

The padel world has seen many couples separate, but Bergamini and Ruiz have stayed together for over two years. Together, they've achieved great success, such as a final spot in Premier Padel, victories over top players, and a spot in the top eight of the rankings.

But now their journey together has also come to an end.

Victor Ruiz announced it on Instagram with this message.

”It's not easy to write this. We are in a time in our sport when we just want things to work now, without patience, without thinking about the long term, without giving time for projects to resolve themselves ...”

To reach the final, to be the number 8 couple in the world, to beat the number 1 couple... but the most important thing of all: to be today the couple that has been together the longest in the entire professional circuit.”
