The scenario that could lead to a Stupa vs. Di Nenno match

ANNONS

Martin Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuk have competed together in over 40 tournaments, but their partnership has now come to an end. This opens up the possibility that they could face each other for the first time in a long while. Here are the conditions that need to be met for this to happen in this week's Premier Padel tournament in Finland.

Martin Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuk played together throughout the 2023 season and until mid-2024. Despite reaching the final of the P2 tournament in Seville, they didn't meet expectations.

A few weeks ago, rumors began to circulate that their partnership was coming to an end. Shortly after, both players confirmed the news.

Stupaczuk addressed the situation on social media, explaining that it was Di Nenno's decision, but that he respected it:

“We have fought for a year and a half, especially in 2023, where we strived for the number one spot until the season's final tournament.”

Stupa vs. Di Nenno

In this week's Premier Padel tournament in Finland, the Argentinians are playing with new partners. Martin Di Nenno has teamed up with Juan Lebron, while Franco Stupaczuk has started playing with Mike Yanguas.

This means they could face each other for the first time in over a year and a half. In the tournament, Di Nenno/Lebron are the top seeds, followed by Stupaczuk/Yanguas, as several top players have chosen not to participate. If the seedings hold, they could face each other in the final on Sunday.

For this to happen, Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas will likely need to overcome Paquito Navarro and Pablo Cardona in a potential semifinal. For Martin Di Nenno and Juan Lebron, the road to the final seems slightly easier, as the pair Bela/Tello unexpectedly lost in the first round.
