All new top pairs advance in Finland
This week, several new top pairs have made their long-awaited debuts in Premier Padel. The tournament has started well for them, with solid victories in the first round, but now they face tougher challenges as the competition enters a more intense phase.
Lebron/Di Nenno
Juan Lebron and Martin Di Nenno had a challenging start in their match against Javi Rico and Juanlu Esbri. After a closely first set, which they won 7-5, they completely dominated the second set, winning it without dropping a game.
Their next challenge is against Lucas Campagnolo and Javier Leal, with the match scheduled as the third on Centre Court today.
Stupaczuk/Yanguas
Franco Stupaczuk and Mike Yanguas faced a tough draw in their first match against Lucho Capra and Maxi Sanchez, but the new top pair delivered an impressive performance. After a close first set, which ended 7-5, they secured the win by taking the second set convincingly, 6-2.
Today, they will face Teodoro Zapata and Javier Barahona, with the match scheduled as the second evening match on Centre Court.
Navarro/Cardona
Paquito Navarro and Pablo Cardona entered the tournament yesterday and faced Victor Mena and Jose Solano. The new pair showed their class by winning the match in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.
Today, they will face Denis Tomas and Miguel Lamperti in the final evening match on Centre Court.
Garrido/Ruiz
Javi Garrido and Alex Ruiz also won their first match and will today face Valentino Libaak and Alex Chozas. The match is scheduled as the third on Court 2 today.
