Stupa reveals: The players he contacted after the separation
After splitting with Martin Di Nenno, Franco Stupaczuk faced an important choice: who would be his new partner? Now, Stupa tells Spanish magazine Relevo what really happened behind the scenes.
It was a time of uncertainty and expectation for Pablo Cardona when he was approached by Stupaczuk's team. “I talked to Stupa and Pozzoni. They asked me how I was and what my plans were,” Cardona said. He admits that there was clear communication from the start, which he appreciated.
“They were clear from the beginning. They told me that their first choice was Yanguas and that I was the second choice, and that they wanted to be among the top four couples in terms of points. In the end, he paired with Yanguas,” Cardona explained to Diario Marca
Franco Stupaczuk now tells Relevo about what happened behind the scenes.
“I spoke to Carlos Pozzoni and he took it upon himself to call Mike as a first choice. He said he needed a day to think. Then we also called Pablo Cardona and I was as honest as possible with him.
He continues:
“I told him that I loved his way of playing, that he had a huge future, but that I had called Yanguas and was waiting for his answer. He understood perfectly, the truth is that he is outstanding.”
It is now clear that Franco Stupaczuk will start a partnership with Mike Yanguas. For Pablo Cardona, a partnership with Paquito Navarro now awaits.
