The United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) has formally announced a multiyear extension of its agreement with USPTA Master Professional Marcos del Pilar, the leading authority for Padel certification under USPTA and Padelmba USA.

Padelmba USA will continue to be the USPTA’s exclusive provider of Padel certification, online educational courses, and training programs.

“As we think about building anything new, especially a new sport, we need to build a solid and stable foundation. Nobody does a better job at building this foundation than Marcos,” said USPTA CEO Brian Dillman.

Those who complete Padelmba USA’s courses will be certified as a Recreational Padel Coach, Padel Instructor, or Padel Professional based on test scores. The equivalent USPTA Instructor - Level 1 or Professional - Level 2 certification will be granted to those who earn a corresponding Padel certification.

Professional Certified Padel Coaches (Level 2) can apply for Elite Certification (Level 3) after completing a set of courses and earning official accreditation of 100 hours of Padel teaching. Elite Certified Padel Coaches (Level 3) can apply for Master Certification (Level 4) after completing additional courses, earning official accreditation of 500 hours of Padel teaching, serving as an assistant at three Padel certification courses, and running Padel clubs for at least two years.

“This multiyear partnership extension with the USPTA is not only a step toward the internationalization of Padel in America but also a fusion of visions,” said del Pilar. “We both see Padel as a complementary and expansive sport with enormous potential to capture the interest of players and fans.”
