Paquito smiles: Cardona shines again and advances to the quarterfinals

Pablo Cardona and Javi Ruiz eliminated Mike Yanguas and Javi Garrido, the number 5 pair in the Málaga P1. Paquito Navarro's future partner continues to show his talent.

Many are wondering how Pablo Cardona, only 19 years old, will handle the pressure of sharing the court with a legend like Paquito Navarro. In the tournament prior to the debut of the new pair, the left-hander once again showcased his best padel to defeat one of the top pairs of the year, Garrido-Yanguas.

This is the last tournament for Cardona and Ruiz together. Starting from the Finland P2, we will see Cardona teaming up with Paquito Navarro.

On another note, the Yanguas-Garrido pair is coming to an end. From Finland onwards, Mike Yanguas will be Franco Stupaczuk's new partner, and Javi Garrido will begin his new partnership with Álex Ruiz.
