The players have made their decisions - here are all the new pairs

ANNONS

Over the past week, there have been significant changes in the world of padel. This after the remarkable news that Martin Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuks are going their separate ways. The announcement has opened the door for many new couples to make their debut on the world tour.
Here Padel Alto summarises all the new couples.

On Thursday evening, reports started to circulate that Martin Di Nenno and Franco Stupaczuk would end their partnership. Just a few hours later, the players themselves confirmed the news.

Stupaczuk wrote that it was his partner's decision and that he respects it:

"It's been a year and a half in which we have fought to the fullest, especially in 2023 where we fought for the number one spot until the last tournament of the season."

At the same time, speculation emerged that Juan Lebron and Paquito Navarro would break their partnership. The main reason for this decision was stated to be that Lebron planned to start playing with Di Nenno.

The new partnership between Juan Lebron and Martin Di Nenno is not yet confirmed, but many major Spanish media state that it is done.

This meant that both Franco Stupaczuk and Paquito Navarro were without a partner. There was speculation about a straight swap with Navarro moving to the forehand side, but that rumour was knocked down pretty quickly.

Two options for Stupaczuk

For Franco Stupaczuk, it was about two options: Miguel Yanguas or Pablo Cardona. Now it seems to be clear that Stupaczuk will start a partnership with Yanguas, according to several major Spanish media. But it was not so far away that the choice fell on Cardona. In an interview with Spanish Diario Marca, the talent said:

"I spoke to Stupa and Pozzoni (Stupa's coach). They asked me how I was feeling and what my plans were. They were clear from the start. They told me that their first choice was Yanguas and that I was the second choice, and that they wanted to be among the top four pairs in terms of points. In the end, he paired with Yanguas."

But it seems that Pablo Cardona is going to start a new partnership after all. Yesterday it was reported that Paquito Navarro will try to play with the talented left-handed Spaniard.

Garrido without a partner

It still remains to be seen who Javier Garrido will start a new partnership with. The new partnerships are expected to debut in Finland. It is also important to note that the new partnerships have not been confirmed.
