Impressive lineup set for FIP Gold Valladolid

This week the FIP Gold of Valladolid, one of the most prestigious FIP Tour tournaments of the season, will take place. Several renowned players have signed up for this tournament, which will serve as preparation for the Genoa P2.

The four seeded pairs in the men's draw present some surprises. Juanlu Esbrí and Javi Rico will start as the top favorites, Leo Augsburger and Edu Alonso as the number 2 seeds, Francisco Guerrero and Jairo Bautista as the number 3 seeds, and Enrique Goenaga along with Arnau Ayats as the number 4 seeds.

Another interesting pair will be Javi Barahona with Álex Chozas.

Regarding the women's draw, there will also be great pairs. Bea Caldera and Lorena Rufo will be the number 1 seeds, Laia and Nuria Rodríguez will start as the second favorites, Marta Talaván and 'Portu' Nogueira as the number 3 pair, and Marina Guinart along with Noa Cánovas as the number 4 seeds.

Let's remember that the CUPRA FIP Tour has five categories: FIP Platinum, Gold, Star, Rise, and Promotion, plus the FIP Finals which conclude the season.

This Valladolid tournament is a Gold category, so the winner will earn 125 points, the runner-up 75 points, the semifinalists 45 points, and the quarterfinalists 22 points. Additionally, there is €50,000 in prize money to be distributed.
