Checkout.com, a leading global digital payments provider, has partnered with Alejandro Galán.

At signing the deal, Checkout.com renewed its support for padel's inclusion as an Olympic sport, aiming for its debut at the 2032 Olympic Games in Brisbane.

Checkout.com is committed to promoting padel across its 50+ operating countries by establishing Padel Academies, which will enable the sport to become an Olympic sport.

These academies will focus on regions where padel is not widespread, including North America, Australia, Asia, and Africa. Set to launch later this year, the academies will be managed by local Checkout.com team members, with merchants and partners encouraged to participate. The initiative will strive for gender parity, aiming for equal participation of men and women, addressing the current statistic that 38% of global padel players are female.

Guillaume Pousaz, Founder and CEO of Checkout.com, expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating,

“We are partnering with Ale to take padel to the world’s highest-performing arena. He is an incredible athlete, committed to the development of the sport, and we want to be part of his exciting journey. At Checkout.com, we are performance-obsessed, and nobody embodies this obsession better than Ale. I can’t wait to see what he achieves next in his career."

Alejandro Galán shared his excitement about the partnership, saying,

“It is really exciting for me to associate myself with a brand that values everything that contributes to success on the padel court, such as concentration, resistance, and technical precision. I admire Checkout.com's high-growth, high-performance mindset. And, of course, I fully support their plan to promote and develop padel worldwide to help it become an Olympic sport.”

With this partnership, Checkout.com and Alejandro Galán aim to elevate padel's global presence and secure its place in the Olympic Games, reflecting their shared commitment to high performance and growth.
